Dear customers As we sadly close our Bramhall shop, we wanted to send our heartfelt thanks to the people who have supported our business week in week out over the last 6 years. We have very much been honoured to serve you and be part of the Bramhall community. We have met so many wonderful people. Although sad to be moving on from this chapter, We are now looking to the future and taking the opportunity to develop new outlets for our products and continue to improve and develop the range. We are very much hoping to be back in Bramhall in the near future, so do look out for us ‘popping up’ there, and in other locations. To keep up to date with our news, ‘pop ups’ as well as developments in our Poynton bakery shop do follow us on social media (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) as well as through the website. Once again, thank you so much for all of your support and we hope to see you again soon.

This year we will not be taking Christmas orders. The uncertainty around the lease in Bramhall means that we do not have the staffing capacity to guarantee orders or to undertake what is a very time consuming process.
Instead we will bake lots and lots of bread on the 23rd and 24th of December and try our best to ensure that everyone gets what they want. We will still be taking orders as normal up to 22nd December too.
If you have a very large order for 23rd or 24th December, please talk to the team.
We are very excited to be a part of the Bramhall and Woodford Rotary Duck Race on 15 May. We think it is one of the things that makes Bramhall, well ‘Bramhall’. It is also supporting a wonderful charity, Francis House Children’s Hospice, even more reason to pop along to Bramhall Park to be part of the fun.
As part of the event we will have a stall selling some of our delicious treats, so do come and say hello. We are also keeping Scott busy as a judge for the Great Bramhall Bake Off. We are helping out with the event, and the winner of each category will win a masterclass with Scott in the bakery, to learn a few of his baking secrets!
To enter, you can pick up a form from the bakery in Bramhall or on line at the Rotary website (www.bwrotary.org). There are 3 categories:6 scones Victoria sandwich 6 yummy cupcakes
There is no fee to enter, but all of the products will be sold after the winners have been announced to raise more money for this great cause.
Here at Bramhall Bakery, we are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our baking team as apprentices. The successful candidates will be assisting the bakers and other staff in learning about all aspects of a busy retail bakery business whilst gaining a qualification from Bury College. Two of our previous bakery apprentices have won national awards for their skills.
-To assist in preparation of breads and other baked goods -To assist in preparation of sandwiches and other ‘food to go’ options -To assist in customer service / bakery product merchandising -Maintain and keep the bakery clean and tidy -To ensure a high level of hygiene at all times -Shifts may range from 4am start to 12pm finish, a suitable candidate will have considered travel to work at times outside of normal office hours.
We are looking for people that are willing to listen and take on board the training and advice provided. You must have a passion for the food industry and be looking for an opportunity to start your career as a baker. If you are eager to learn, reliable and punctual then this could the opportunity you have been looking for

Looking for something a bit different for Mother’s Day. We have a ‘loaf a month a year’ voucher for £20 which means that each month she can treat herself to a handmade artisan loaf of her choice – a tasty date and walnut loaf or wholesome Bramhall Bloomer.
We also have some very cute lemon and lavender sugar shortbreads as well as lots of options for the perfect afternoon tea!
2015 Christmas order forms are now out and we are taking orders in both shops for collection on 23 and 24 December. There is a special thank-you gift for all orders over £20 (which is worth over £10).

Finally, our Poynton shop tends to be quieter and it is much easier to park close to the shop, handy for quickly collecting your orders.
We are delighted to announce that we were awarded Independent Retailer of the Year at the Stockport Business Awards on Thursday. It was a wonderful evening and we are very proud to have won the award. It was great to be a part of this event and see and hear about so many great businesses which are based in Stockport. We could not have won it without our amazing team of staff and all of our lovely customers!
We are very proud and excited because we have found out that our current apprentice Sally has been awarded a prestigious national award from the Worshipful Company of Bakers, to travel on a scholarship in later this month to a French baking school for a week of intensive training on Sourdough breads.
This is the second accolade received by our trainees. Amber, who you will recognise as the face of our Bramhall Shop, was awarded the James Allen prize for the bakery apprentice of the year in 2013 and spent a week at a training centre in Scotland.
That’s 2 out of 2 apprentices winning national awards to date!
We can’t wait to hear about all of the skills and ideas she learns while in France – watch this space for an update and I’m sure there will be some new ideas on the shelf too…
